Hiiii Cambridge I'm back again I know you missed me so today I'm going to be writing my blog post on 3 movies openings near and dear to my heart from the Romantic comedy genre. The first movie i would like to write about is the opening scene from the movie “10 Things I Hate About You.” The scene starts off with one of the main characters classmates Showing him around the school and the different groups of people in the school and as he's doing that one of the main characters Bianca a beautiful young girl Walks past him and catches his eye. His classmate tells him that there's no way that he would be able to be anything with her and she's off limits because of her dad's strict rules. But that sparks interest in him. Overall making him want to go for her more because she's “unavailable”.
The second movie opening I watched was “13 going on 30” this movie Showed the typical nerdy girl and her nerdy guy friend being approached by a bunch of mean girls. They were trying to be rude to her and cancel her party because it was her birthday that day. She offered instead of them missing the party she would do the project for the group of mean girls so they could potentially go to her party. It's very obvious this was a stunt the bullies did just because they didn't actually want to go, and they just want to bully her and do their work.
Last but not least was the movie opening for “Shes all that” In this opening it starts off with the main character in her house showcasing how she's very artsy and is very not like the ideal popular type. Then it shows her arriving at school and very similar to 10 things I hate about you it showcases all the different types of people at school but mostly the nerds and the popular kids so it makes you think about what if later in the movie like almost every rom com one of the popular kids ends up liking the nerd girl from the beginning.
